At UBSS, our students are educated by some of the brightest leaders and expert practitioners in the business world, with years of practical experience across a wide variety of industries.
At UBSS, our vision is to inspire the ambitious and forward-thinking nature of each of our students. We know that this depends heavily on the leadership quality of our staff, teachers, educators and faculty. This is why we place such a great emphasis on selecting and nurturing our UBSS teams, so that our students always feel well-supported and taught by industry leaders. Our UBSS staff know exactly what it takes to be successful in the business world, and seek to mentor our students to provide them with the best chance to prosper in their own chosen careers. The experience, professionalism, and real-world understanding of each of our staff members filters through every aspect of the teaching process. From lectures to hands-on tutorials, the UBSS teams always offer their support, wisdom and advice to each and every student along their education journey with us.
Boasting over 8 full-time staff and around 30 part-time staff, UBSS ensures that every member of our academic team is AQF+1 compliant, with their performance is regularly reviewed by our Program Directors. This ensures our high standards remain consistent.
At UBSS, we also encourage and support our academic team in their own continuing professional development – this is because we believe that no one should ever stop learning. As the world evolves, our staff need to ensure that their industry knowledge remains current for our students. In addition, we hold our own UBSS professional development days each trimester for our staff, to upskill their general capabilities and competencies.
By keeping up to date with changing practices, our staff maintain adaptability through both predictable and unexpected changes. As an example, when the COVID pandemic hit our shores in 2020, each of our staff played a significant role in ensuring the transition to online learning was a smooth one for both students and staff. It is for these reasons and many more that each member of our academic team has enjoyed so much success in their own careers, and they continue to pass this experience on to every student they have the pleasure of teaching.

At UBSS, we aim to give our students every opportunity to succeed in their business endeavours. One of the ways that we seek to do this is by continually recruiting and retain a high-quality academic team for our students to learn and gain experience from.
Our established workforce consists of many pioneers and leaders in the business world. Each member of our academic team is selected due to their inspiring levels of success in their chosen fields, and are in a perfect position to pass their knowledge and expertise onto their students.
UBSS is proud to boast such a diverse, high-achieving academic team. From younger professionals who’ve enjoyed success early in their careers, to older industry veterans with years of experience to hand down to their students. On top of this, our female staff now make up 48% of our team - a truer reflection of the wider population.
Around 30% of our staff have now been with us for 3 years or longer, and more than 10% have been with us for more than 7 years, which is well above industry averages. We take pride in the longevity of our staff, and we continue to ensure that we provide a conducive working environment that allows them to do their best for our students.
At UBSS, we pride ourselves on recognising the services and achievements of all our staff. We regularly honour staff members who have achieved 5, 10 or 15 years of service with UBSS.
