At UBSS, our course fees are designed and set to ensure that every business professional has the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge with our MBA course and go on to succeed as a business leader of the future.
UBSS is a higher education provider that has been approved to offer FEE-HELP. This allows our MBA students to receive FEE-HELP loan assistance to cover some or all of their tuition fees should they wish to do so.
You can apply for FEE-HELP during your UBSS MBA application process.
The requirements that must be satisfied in order to study an MBA with UBSS are put in place to ensure we can maintain the high quality of education that UBSS provides to entrepreneurs and business professionals.
Admission to all postgraduate courses offered by UBSS at AQF Level 8 (Postgraduate degree) and above, including the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) (Accounting) (AQF Level 9), require the completion of:
- Bachelor degree (AQF level 7) or postgraduate award in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution; or
- Completion of overseas university qualifications at the level of Bachelor degree (AQF 7) or higher.
Applicants who have not completed at least an AQF Level 7 qualification in Australia or a country where English is the first language must prove adequate English language proficiency. For more information, click here.
The following provisions for credit transfer apply:
-
MBA - A maximum of eight (8) subjects may be awarded to MBA candidates with recently completed graduate or honours studies from a recognised tertiary institution that are directly relevant to core or specialised subjects.
-
Graduate Diploma - A maximum of four (4) subjects may be awarded to Graduate Diploma candidates with recently completed graduate or honours studies from a recognised tertiary institution that are directly relevant to core or specialised subjects.
-
Graduate Certificate - A maximum of two (2) subjects may be granted to Graduate Certificate candidates with recent completed graduate or honours studies from a recognised tertiary institution that are directly relevant to core or specialised subjects.
Credit transfer is awarded based on the merits of the case, subject to:
-
previous studies must have been completed within the last 5 years;
-
demonstrable alignment of learning outcomes and content, and the equivalence of assessment;
-
the applicant providing the requisite information and certification for assessment by UBSS.
Read more in our Postgraduate Brochure.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a little more complex than Credit Transfer because it takes into account previous life and study activity that may be equivalent to what is being studied in the given award.
RPL can often provide an entry option – in the case of an MBA, students without an undergraduate degree may be given entry (through the Graduate Certificate option) based on previous work experience.
There may even be the option of credit towards the award (usually limited to 25%) if a person has a significant and related work experience profile.
See the Professor G MBA TV segment available here.
