Simon is partner of accounting firm Horwood Partners, with over 17 years of professional experience in the industry. He has a Masters of Taxation Law and holds membership and board positions for various community groups.
Simon Chhoeu, founder of Wintergate Chartered Accountants (a 10+ year practice), recently combined forces with Horwood Partners to further add value to client services.
Simon, as Horwood Partners’ partner for business advisory services, brings with him a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing, construction, agricultural and international exporting businesses, with over 17 years’ professional experience in the industry.
He has been instrumental in mentoring clients with multi-million dollar projects and assisting them to establish business links and opportunities in China and throughout Asia. Simon also has extensive experience in self-managed superannuation funds, estate planning and succession planning for family businesses.
Simon has completed a Bachelor of Accounting and a Masters of Taxation Law with Honours at the University of Technology Sydney, as well as a Certified Financial Planning course at the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is also a FCPA. Horwood Partners currently have offices in Sydney; Parramatta and Hong Kong and helping clients do corporate advisory, due diligence and tax structure reviews for Chinese investors investing in Australia.
Simon is a member and on the Board of various community groups and non-profit organisations. He is a Board member of SME Growth Partners (http://www.smegrowthpartners.com.au/ ) and Advisory Board Member for Network Equity (http://networkequity.com.au/ ). He is the Chair of the UBSS Course Advisory Committee.
He is currently elected as 2017 President of CPA Australia (NSW) Division, after 8 years as Divisional Councillor.
